Digital Marketing Coordinator

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in marketing the Amarillo Chamber, its events and its programs by developing creative content for both social media, email marketing, website and other duties as assigned.  This position also serves as the Staff Liaison for the Round-Up Club (Chamber Red Coat Volunteers) to coordinate all ribbon cutting or ground breaking events.

VP of Communications & Marketing

 

Content Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Assist with writing or providing new website content, edit and update existing website pages with sponsor logos, information, etc.
  • Serve as an administrator on all Chamber Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others as needed.
  • Create and help develop themes for marketing pieces, including but not limited to: tickets, posters, promotional materials, commercials, social media posts, and brochures for all Chamber events.
  • Assist with press releases and media events.
  • Update and maintain a current list of all media for press releases and advertising efforts.
  • Assist with photography and videography for all Chamber events, help maintain media files and edit and upload content to our online Flickr albums.
  • Create and edit basic video content for use on website, commercials, and social media.
  • Use Canva and maintain digital technology (camera, microphone, video equipment)

 

Communications Department Responsibilities:

  • Determine content and continually update, manage, and respond to the Chamber’s social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Flickr, and more.
  • Manage paid advertising budget for social media accounts.
  • Schedule and conduct all ribbon cutting and ground breaking events
  • Schedule, shoot, and edit videos for member events, After Hours or event promotions, and Business Excellence Award Winners
  • Assist with updating the membership database and log communication with members
  • Connect with new members’ social media accounts and engage with them to share content on their behalf as a benefit of membership.

Round-Up Club Responsibilities:

  • Maintain calendar, roster, and attendance points.
  • Coordinate and promote the event.
  • After event, share photos and or video from the event on social media platforms, email your contact list, and send images to local media outlets.
  • Promote on web, calendar, etc.
  • Serving as a central point of contact for all communication needs.

Department Assigned Responsibilities:

Perform additional assigned responsibilities for the Business Excellence Awards, BusinessConnection®, the Chamber Open Golf Tournament, Membership Blitz or Drive, the Good Times Celebration® Barbecue Cook-Off, Monthly Business After Hours, and other events required. 

 

This is a full-time, salaried, in-person position scheduled for Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional extended hours for special events.  This position comes with a generous benefit package including*:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a heart for helping our members grow their business and the Chamber promote our business-positive brand.  We are a small staff, so being a team-player is a must!  The right candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, graphic and creative experience, great attention to detail, and hands-on knowledge of managing and using multiple social media platforms.

 

This position will also manage an important group of Chamber ambassadors and maintain the calendar of member events, so great organization and interpersonal skills are required. 

 

Position requires basic photography and videography skills using a Canon Rebel digital camera and iphone.  Applicant should also be efficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as Canva, and iMovie and/or CapCut.
